Loki's Story

1. Unexpected

"Vic..."

 I look out the window and into the sky,staring into the rapidly approaching clouds that seem so dark and gray. There was a smell of summer rain upon New York City, and everyone seems to dislike it.Especially Lauren, well she doesnt hate rain but she doesnt dislike it, she just isnt all that fond of weather or... coffee. But Lauren is a good friend she'll come with me to the coffee shop and we will chat or just sit there enjoying the luxury of silence we have in that one spot in the shop.

"Victoria?"

My eyes flutter open, I didn't realize I had closed them. Lauren's big brown eyes staring at me as she was trying to hold back her laughter.

"I'm sorry..what?" 

"I asked you if you were up for a night on the town?"  She says as she sips her ice tea.

I bite my lip and look up at the sky again, hearing the distant sound of thunder and smiling a little.

"C'mon Vic, Please?"

I look back at her,tuck my hair behind one ear and reply with a simple.

"I'll think about it."

She groans and crosses her arms, as if she's pouting. I roll my eyes and pull on my jacket, putting a tip on the table and walking out. She follows and tries to entice me to come.

"Come on Vic, We are going to a party tonight and all your friends will be there."

I sigh and look at her pulling her arm and walking faster. I didn't care if people stared at me I needed to tell Lauren this.

"Look Ren, I know you want me to come but-"

"Thunder for brains is coming?" She finishes, then smils as I nod. She knew me too well but she accepts that Thunder for brains is coming.

"All Right Victoria..be careful I don't wanna find you on the news as the next Kentucky fried chicken."

We both laugh then hug before she says.

"Honestly, though be careful."

I nod and wave goodbye as I walk on the street, giggling of the thought of Thunder for brains coming to earth like he did a year ago. I smile, walking up to my door and hearing a clatter from the inside. My heart skips a beat and I open it quickly, I see nothing and close the door thinking it could have been my imagination. I grab the umbrella and hold it shakily ready to attack at any point.

' Is it a theif?' I think to myself as I round the corner and only see a flash of blonde hair and its too late by the time I smack him. I gasp and throw the umbrella down. He groans and covers his nose with both hands.

"You hit me with an Umbrella!"
